Two new cars will have a dedicated app on them. This is the first time that Waze has been available as a stand alone app in a car. Drivers can access real-time navigation and other features without a phone.

All of the usual Waze options will be available on the dedicated displays in the new cars.

There are two new cars that will be built in.

The openR link multimedia system will now include the dedicated Waze app, which will allow you to select music or change temperature with your voice, plot routes, and even control your smart home devices from your phone

It won't be the last car manufacturer to offer the app on a multimedia screen without a phone. Polestar, GeneralMotors, Chevrolet, and Volvo all have the same integration with the embeddedAndroid system, with Honda set to do the same soon.

Aron Di Castro, director of marketing and partnerships at Waze, said that the real-time navigation, route and alert built into the display of the vehicles made for a simplified and seamless driving experience. The driving experience will be brought to more users across the globe.

In recent years, Waze has become more focused on in-car improvements, with deeper CarPlay integration, support for Apple Music, and even some nostalgia appearing earlier this year.
