Rupert Murdoch will be deposed in a $1.6 billion defamation case involving Dominion Voting Systems, WaPo reports

Murdoch will be deposed next week in the $1.6 billion dollar lawsuit against the company.

According to The Washington Post, Murdoch will be deposed via video conference on December 13 and 14. His testimony is going to be used in the defamation lawsuit. According to the company, the network aired false election fraud claims to boost its ratings.

Murdoch's oldest son was deposed in Los Angeles on Monday. The Washington Post reported in August that Fox News' on-air personality including Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Jeanine Pirro were deposed by the lawyers for the company.

A number of defamation lawsuits have been filed by the voting systems company. There are cases against Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani.

Attorneys for Fox News didn't reply to Insider's request for comment.
