Three women's basketball teams have withdrawn from a Las Vegas tournament as part of continuing backlash from a similar event at a Strip resort over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic has three universities out of it. According to the operations manager of the tournament, those schools had agreed to be added to the tournament in coordination with the Las Vegas tournament.

The Texas A&M coach said that they were all about giving their players the chance to play. We decided to pull out of the tournament due to the circumstances. We're thankful to be able to host them instead of being forced to.

There were a lot of problems at the Las Vegas invitational, including not having medical personnel on site, which resulted in a freshman from auburn lying on the court for 50 minutes after falling hard.

After Richardson's injury, Moren thought not to play. The Hoosiers defeated Memphis by a score of 80-64. After the game, Moren said that she thought women's basketball had taken a couple of steps backwards because of the tournament conditions that included fans sitting on folding chairs instead of bleachers.

Campbell, Cleveland State, Jacksonville State, and Utah Tech are included in the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.

Five teams we already had will be at the South Point. The other five are happy that the three that withdrew are not there anymore because they like non-Power 5 events. Three people were taken to help. It is okay. It's better for us because they aren't there this year.

Sport Tours International has been in charge of events in Las Vegas for over a decade.

The Power 5 teams decided to leave The Mirage and play at South Point, according to Seymour.

Seymour said thatDestination Basketball had contracts with several universities. We didn't." They said they didn't know.
