The cast and crew of His Dark Materials were aware that it was going to end. The fantasy series is based on a trilogy of novels by Philip Pullman. The third season of the show, which follows the events of the last novel, The Amber Spyglass, will premiere tonight. Heading into work on the finale came with mixed feelings for the actor who plays Will. He says he came to terms with it. It was going to be the end of the story. It's sad to say farewell.

The third season is the most complex of the three. The existence of parallel worlds and a mysterious substance called Dust are only being proven and understood in His Dark Materials. Characters are thrown across different worlds at this point. Will and Lyra are going to the land of the dead to save a friend while Lord Asriel is going to start a war with God. Dr. Malone is trying to figure out what Dust really is and Mrs. Coulter is causing trouble as she always does.

You don't know when and where to go.

Things can be hard to follow in the show compared to the books. It's a problem for everyone. As the story continues, it becomes more and more challenging. I don't feel like I'm keeping up with everything. There is a lot of confusion because you don't know who is when or where. You somehow understand it. The script team did a great job of keeping track of everything both on the floor and behind the scenes.

She tried to stay in the moment. She says it's best to play the scene as is. There were a lot of scenes being worked on on the set and sometimes it feels very creative. You have to be present in the moment in order to play the scene. It should stay with the next scene if you play it right.

The season is notable for its large scale. There is a war on heaven. This means that, for viewers, there is more to see, from mythical creatures to a new magical device in the amber spyglass. In terms of locations, the land of the dead starts out as a boring bureaucracy before turning into a frightening place. It gets more weird.

She irritates me because I have been living with her for a long time.

There was one element that had her concerned going into this season. She was worried about the angels and how they would be normalized. We learned by the time we got to season 3 that we worked well as a creative team, and we could work our way through any kind of challenging situation that was going to come about.

Everyone is older now, that's one of the changes. The actors in the series have been working on it for four years now. In season 2 he was almost a child and in season 3 he is a young man. It was important for me to bring a more mature version of Will to the screen. Throughout the series, that was a big factor for me. I had matured as a person. I think Will in the second season went with the flow of things, when he maybe shouldn't have, and this Will is more calculated and controlled in what he does.

Over the course of the show, her relationship with Lyra has become complicated. She is an incredible character and I love her. Sometimes I think you are so annoying. She irritates me because I have been living with her for a long time. She makes dumb decisions that put me through it.

McAvoy is a big fan of the original novels and this kind of changing relationship between actor and character was also true of him.

I assumed I knew who he was.

He said he thought he knew who Asriel was. He has a strong character and outlines. His jealousy of his daughter's position as the real revolutionary force and icon, as well as his frustration and jealousy with Mrs. Coulter, were some of the things I looked at. He can't have her, and she won't do what he wants her to do It is fascinating to explore the depths of that. His mania disappears when he becomes a good guy and does the right thing. We stuck with the mad scientist aspect of the show.

It is ideal for Ruth Wilson to play a character that is deep and nuanced. She says that they are the best characters because they are constantly searching and finding new things.

The finale of the third and final season of His Dark Materials had to be recreated. Those who have read the books already know that Will and Lyra have to make some difficult decisions. There are people who die, people who are separated, and people who are crying. Even though I knew what was going to happen, it was still a tear jerker.

I don't know if I'll ruin it for the people who love it.

The person says that they feel the pressure. I don't know if I'll ruin it for the people who love it. You have to forget about it at the end of the day and do what you have to do. The passion and the care and the desire was all there from our side, and so I hope we're giving the audience what they're looking for

The cast have things they will miss now that the show is over. For Ruth Wilson, the weekly games of football with the staff are what she does. He is sad he won't get to read a lot now. He enjoyed cosplaying as Asriel for a few years.

The third season of His Dark Materials will premiere on December 5th.
