Levchin's comment came after he was asked about why there was a strong reaction to Musk taking over the social networking site.
Levchin said, "Elun is making sense of it." He's probably asking what we're really working on. We have enough capacity to make money. We don't know if we have enough advertisers to make money. It's probably his point of view every day.
Levchin and Musk worked together at early-stagePayPal, and Levchin was the CTO. After a fight between Musk and Levchin over what operating system to use, the board of PayPal fired him.
Around half of the platform's workforce has been cut since Musk took over, but some have been asked to return.
