Live Activities are supported in third-party apps with the release of the latest version of the operating system. The Lock Screen feature allows users to stay up to date on real-time events, such as a sports game or a food delivery order. The Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max features live activities.
In June, Apple showed off Live Activities for Starbucks, but we are still waiting for these apps to implement it.
It appears that the two companies are preparing to support live activities. Both of the apps have a Live Activities button in the settings app. It's not yet functional for public use in either app.
It will be easy to see the status of a ride on the Lock Screen or in the Dynamic Island with live activities. There is no time frame for the feature to launch in these apps.
Flighty for flight tracking is one of the popular third-party apps with Live Activities support. Live Activities for select sports games will be supported by Apple's TV app, which is currently in a testing phase and will be released later this month.
I would like to thank Youssef Salem.
