The Yankees have re-signed Brian Cashman to a four year contract. Cashman will remain as senior vice president and general manager under the new deal. Cashman built a club that won the American League East last season and advanced to the ALCS, where it lost to the Houston Astros. In each of Cashman's 25 seasons as general manager, the Yankees have posted a winning record, but haven't won a World Series. Major League Baseball is holding its winter meetings in San DIEGO. The future of the Yankees' star outfielder, a free agent coming off a historic season in which he set the record for American League home runs, is one of the key talking points at the meetings. It's thought that Judge will either stay with the Yankees or go to the Giants. Cashman and the Yankees offered Judge $213.5 million over seven years, a deal that would've made Judge the second- highest-paid outfielder in the majors, behind Mike Trout. He went out and had a season for the ages after Judge said no. Cashman re-signed Anthony Rizzo to a two-year contract after he turned down a $16 million player option. The AP contributed.
