Anthony Richardson will not play in the team's upcoming Las Vegas Bowl game against Oregon State because he is going to be drafted.
Richardson isn't going to be one of the top five quarterbacks selected in this year's class despite being a projected first-round pick.
The cream of the crop in the upcoming draft class are Alabama's Bryce Young, Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, Kentucky's Will Levis and Tennessee's Hendon Hooker.
Richardson seemed to be a prototypical quarterback, with a strong arm and good athletic ability, but he hasn't put together a good season.
Richardson did not throw a touchdown pass until four games into the season and only threw for 300 yards in two games.
Richardson took over as the team's full-time starter in 2022. He completed less than 50 percent of his passes in 12 games this season. He also scored nine times.
The state of Florida has gone 6-9.

The best situation for the Florida product would be for him to sit for a season and learn from a veteran starter in the NFL.
