Draymond Green's favor in the NBA GOAT conversation was boosted by the 2016 NBA Finals victory of King James.

Green said that James was the best player in the NBA by his third season and maintained that level almost every year since. He said that Jordan didn't beat the greatest team ever assembled, seemingly referring to the Cleveland team that defeated the Warriors in the 2016 NBA playoffs.

The 2016 Finals was probably the most important moment in the history of basketball, as James challenged Michael Jordan for the title.

According to Ramona Shelburne, Jordan wanted to make The Last Dance on the same day as the championship parade. It's possible it's just coincidence, but His Airness saw The Last Dance as a rebuttal to the third title he won.

Green's comments make it clear that there will not be a consensus regarding the NBA's GOAT.
