The Center for Public Opinion at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell conducted a survey of 1,300 likely voters and found that Walker had a lead of over 50 percent.

According to the poll, voters are more likely to view Walker negatively than favorably.

The survey shows that Walker leads by 6 points with men.

Herschel Walker is in trouble. A string of scandals has destroyed Walker's favorables with voters. It looks like Raphael Warnock is going to win the election.

Key Background

The two candidates who got the most votes in the November elections will face off in a second election. Walker won 48.5% of the votes. Republicans have won 49 seats in the Senate, compared to 50 for the Democrats. A win for the Democrats would mean they don't need the Vice President's tie-breaking vote to pass legislation, and would need to recruit one less Republican to get the 60 votes needed to pass most bills.

The early voting totals show that Warnock is in the lead. Georgia Votes uses data from the Secretary of State's office in real time to calculate the number of people who have voted early. According to projections by TargetSmart, Democratic voters lead GOP voters by 13 points as of Monday, and some voters could have crossed party lines. Walker is expected to make up some of the gap on Election day. About 42% of total November general election votes for Walker were cast on Election Day, compared to about 30% of Warnock's total votes, but less than half of Walker's votes were cast before Election Day. According to The New York Times, Republican operatives working with Walker believe he will need to get about 60 percent of the vote on Election Day to beat the early vote lead.
