Explosions hit two Russian military airfields

According to reports, two Russian military airfields were hit by explosions Monday morning.

The air base in the Saratov region, more than 600 kilometers to the east of Ukraine, was apparently hit by a drone.

According to an adviser to the Ukrainian interior ministry, Russia has been using the air base for missile strikes on Ukraine since the beginning of the invasion.

Two servicemen were wounded by a drone.

The footage from the street camera shows an explosion at 6:03 a.m. local time.

Roman Busargin said on his social media that there have been no extraordinary events in the residential quarters. There is nothing to worry about. There has been no damage to civilians.

Russian security agencies are checking information about events at military facilities.

Around 200 kilometers southeast of Moscow, Russian media reported that another blast hit an airfield. Three people were killed and five were injured in an explosion in the airfield parking area. Russian state media reported that people were killed by a fuel tanker explosion. The media did not give reasons for the blast.

The Ukrainian military command wouldn't comment on the incidents.

The Ukrainian air force spokesman asked who did that on his social media.
