A court of law is not the same thing. The district court judge proved that. He dismissed the lawsuit when it was brought that sought to have all Arizona counties require paper ballots and conduct a hand count of all the votes.
Last week, Tuchi ordered sanctions against the attorneys. There are a lot of highlights in the 30-page ruling by Judge Tuchi.
He said that Lake and Finchem requested relief with false, misleading, and speculative allegations.
He said, "Any objectively reasonable investigation of this case would have led to publicly available and widely circulating information conflicting with the claims made by Lake, Finchem and their lawyers."
The lawyers acted recklessly and vexatiously, according to him.
Federal courts prefer facts over the internet. They want to know the truth.
The judge believes that the judicial system should not be used to cast doubt on the electoral process.

Lake is spending time and money with lawsuits.
The judge said in his ruling that those willing to give her legal counsel might be wise to think about what he said. The lawyers lost money because of the sanctions imposed on them. Bar complaints are also a possibility. Disbarment even.
Judges are tired of lawsuits that undermine public trust at a time when distrust in the democratic process is increasing. He imposed sanctions due to that.
