A group of Taylor Swift fans have filed a lawsuit against the company, saying it was to blame for the Eras Tour ticket sale chaos.

Millions of Swifties were unable to purchase tickets to the artist's long-awaited tour after the initial "verified fan" pre-sale crashed. The people who received the exclusive codes waited for hours in the site's queue, and many got error messages that said their codes were invalid. The public sale was canceled because there was insufficient remaining ticket inventory.

Many of the tickets were immediately put up for resale for double or even triple their original price, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit, which was obtained by Deadline, alleges that because of its own resale market, it stands to make more money from fees from tickets that are not sold.

According to the suit, "Ticketmaster was eager to allow this arrangement, as they are paid again in additional fees every time a ticket is resold."

The lawsuit accuses the company of giving too many codes when it couldn't fulfill demands.

Millions of fans were unable to purchase tickets due to insufficient ticket releases.

The lawsuit claims that there is little competition because of the large portion of the market that is controlled by Ticketmaster.

The suit states thatTicketmaster doesn't charge high prices. It charges higher prices because it wants to take as much money from buyers as possible.
