Money and politics in the US are well-established. That includes when that money comes from people who made their fortune in digital assets.
Several candidates in the recently concluded US Midterm Elections had their campaigns financed in part by donors and donations related to the internet. Sam Bankman- Fried and Ryan Salame of FTX gave money to candidates on opposite ends of the political spectrum. Some politicians who received funds from FTX are now trying to distance themselves from their funders.
