The non-pro version of the Mini 3 is rumored to be coming soon. A user shared images of the Mini 3 at a Best Buy in New Jersey, even though Jasper Ellens posted a set of images on the social networking site.
The Fly More kit, which comes with the Mini 3 bundle, includes a screen-equipped DJI RC remote controller, a shoulder bag, extra propellers, and screws, as well as a two-waycharging hub. The Mini 3 Pro with the Fly More combo and the same controller costs over $1,000.
The batteries included with the Mini 3 Pro give a maximum flight time of up to 34 minutes, but the three batteries in the Mini 3 kit give a maximum flight time of just over two hours. It is not clear how much the Mini 3 will cost by itself, but to compare, the Mini 3 Pro is priced at $669 when purchased alone, and adding the standard RC-N1 controller costs $759
The price of the Mini 3 will include a couple of features. The standard Mini 3 may drop the front-facing obstacle sensors on its pricier counterpart, and it's rumored to support a range of 10 km, as opposed to the longer 12 km range.
If you want to fly the Mini 3, you won't have to register it with the FAA because it will be the same design as the Mini 3 Pro and the previous Mini 2. The Mini 3 appears to have the same module as the Mini 3 Pro, which houses an upgraded 1/2.3-inch sensor.
There is still no announcement about the Mini 3 or even mention of it. We contacted the company to see if we could find out more about the upcoming device.
