According to Shams Charania and Sam Amick of The Athletic, Trae Young missed Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets after an exchange with his coach.

According to the report, Young was going to decide later in the day if he would play after treatment on his injured shoulder. He was offered a choice of coming off the bench or not showing up.

Young was ruled out of the game because of shoulder pain, and the team went on to win.

According to Lauren Williams of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, McMillan said it was a miscommunication.

More information and analysis will be provided soon.
