A.J. Brown was going to play against his former team.

After having a 40-yard touchdown catch called back, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver ran free along the left side and scored a touchdown to give the Eagles a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.

He scored his first and second touchdown on the day.

Brown was traded from the Tennessee to the Eagles on the first night of the draft in April after he and the team couldn't agree on a new contract. Brown said this week that the game meant a lot but that he needed to be professional about it.

Emotions were tested in the second quarter. After beating Fulton on a double move on 1st-and-15, the touchdown was overturned and the pass from Hurts was ruled incomplete, as Brown's second foot was out of bounds.

Brown collided with Fulton as he executed a double move. Fulton fell to the ground and was flagged for illegal contact, while Brown ran alone and made one of the easiest catches of his career.

Brown had a lot of separation at the time the pass arrived. It was the most yards of separation on a touchdown by an Eagle.

When talking about facing his old team, Brown took the big picture approach and secured a four-year, $100 million extension.

Regardless of how the trade goes down, Brown feels like he's won. My family's life was forever changed by me. The goal is that. Growing up from where I am. We play the game because I want to do great and accomplish all the great things.

In the third quarter, Hurts threw a 29- yard pass to Brown. His two touchdown catches came with over 25 or more air yards.
