The Democrats "gave middle America the middle finger" by making South Carolina the first state to nominate Democratic candidates for presidential races, according to the GOP senator.

On Sunday, the comments came on "Fox News Sunday." The DNC voted to remove South Carolina from having the party's first caucus for selecting a president.

I'm proud that we're going to hear from more people who want to be heard. Donna Brazile is a former acting chair of the DNC.

Since 1927, the first-in-the-nation caucus in Iowa has been in South Carolina. Since 1976, the RNC has had its own caucus in Iowa.

There have been pushes to change this in the past. I am happy that Republicans are sticking to their guns. Democrats have given the middle finger to America.
