The SWAC Championship Game win over Southern on Saturday was the last game of the year for Sanders, who almost immediately became Colorado's next coach. He brought national media attention to football at historically Black colleges and universities when he was at Jackson State.

A number of high-profile recruits were helped by the national cache. Hunter was a star in his freshman year at Jackson State. The class of players who will follow Coach Prime from Jackson State to Colorado will be led by Hunter and Shedeur.

Kevin Coleman Jr., Quaydarius Davis, KaTron Evans, and De'Jahn Warren are some of the high-profile players currently on the Jackson State roster.

As he transitions to the Pac-12, he will likely be able to get a 4-star or better recruit in his class.

Isiah Kendall, Kofi Taylor-Barrocks, and Jace Ward are the top players left in Jackson State's class of 2023.
