According to a report, the San Francisco 49ers are interested in re-signing Jimmy Garoppolo.

Both sides are keeping an open mind as Garoppolo heads towards free agency, according to Ian Rapoport.

The 49ers tried to trade Garoppolo but couldn't because he was still recovering from shoulder surgery. The 49ers could have used the franchise tag on Garoppolo, but he stayed in San Francisco.

Garoppolo has played arguably the best football of his career since he took over as the starter.

More information and analysis will be provided soon.
