It was chalk on Championship week.
There was a chance for the least dramatic four team selection of the College Football Playoff era. If Georgia, Michigan, TCU and USC won their title games, that would be it.
The chalkboard had been wiped clean. Utah trailed USC 17-3 at one point in the second quarter, but went on to win 44-7. The 14 point comeback is the largest in the history of the conference. USC's chances of reaching the playoffs have fallen to 1%. In the last two years, the Pac-12 has not had a representative in theCFP.
It was the other way around on Saturday. In the Big 12 championship game, the Frogs trailed by 11 points in the fourth quarter, but still managed to force overtime. The Frogs had the ball first in OT and had two chances to score a touchdown, but they were stopped on downs. Six plays later, the field goal was kicked by the Cats. After not winning its conference, the Horned Frogs will look to make theCFP.

There is a chance that Ohio State could be added to that list. After losing by 22 points at home to Michigan, the Buckeyes did not play on championship weekend but are in a good position.
At halftime of the Big Ten championship game, their northern rivals were in a one-point game with the Boilermakers. The running back picked up where he left off. On the first possession of the second half, he ran for a 60-yard touchdown, and he finished the game with 185 yards and a touchdown.
