Sitch became the first woman to coach a men's soccer program to an NCAA championship when she led the University of Chicago to a 2-0 victory over Williams College.
The Maroons went 22-1 in Sitch's first year as coach. It was just eight months ago that Sitch returned to Chicago as head coach after two previous stops as an assistant.
It was the first NCAA men's soccer title for the Maroons and they set a school record for victories.

Sitch is one of only two women who coach men's soccer teams in the NCAA.
Sitch said that the credit went to the team. These guys have never had a female coach before and they embraced me as their own. That will always be a thankful moment for me.
She said she was proud to watch them play. They show up every day and wear their hearts on their sleeves.
