The quarterback went 10-of-11 for 149 yards and a touchdown in the first half. He was pulled in the fourth quarter after completing 20 of 24 passes for 304 yards and two scores. The team won its seventh title in eight years.
Uiagalelei went 2 of 5 for 10 yards. He had two drives end in three-and-outs. After he struggled in a 31-30 loss to South Carolina, his starting status was a topic of discussion.
In the week leading up to the game against the Tar Heels, the coach said that Uiagalelei would start and that he would be blamed for the loss if he didn't play well.
Uiagalelei has not played well throughout the season. He was benched after turning the ball over three times against Syracuse and in an off performance against Notre Dame, but he was outstanding against Wake Forest and Florida State.
