The future of The Witcher is an interesting place at the moment, but its past feels more certain than ever. Blood Origin will tell the story of the very first Witcher and show how the world of The Continent became filled with monsters and beings of other races.
The elves are in the middle of a golden age. A group of warriors push the empire back when they are ready to wage war. The elven trio ofScian, ile, and Fjall are the focus of Blood Origin's marketing. The new trailer shows the relationship between ile and Fjall, as well as some of their allies, like Brother Death and Meldof.
The largest threat to The Continent will be its merging with other worlds. Humans and other magical monsters have come to populate the world due to thejunction of the Spheres. The foundation for Elven society's eventual demise and status as second class citizens was set by Blood Origin.
Blood Origin is the most important test of the series so far, as it serves as the most important litmus test for the future of the series. It looks good, and watching a bunch of people kill each other while wearing fake ears sounds like a fun way to end the year.
