When Delaney Krings turns five this month, her family and strangers are going all out to give her a birthday.
There will be a birthday parade with around 150 vintage and classic car drivers.
The police and rescue squad are trying to make an appearance. There will be a lot of the movie's characters sprinkled in the parade and local theater groups will be acting out a scene.
Kids can play in the park if it's nice out, and there will be a custom-designed cake, food and hot chocolate. Santa and his wife may show up.
Heather Krings said that cards are coming in from all over the country and from all over the world.
There is no way to sugarcoat the significance of this birthday for her family and the community.
Her mother said that this will be her last birthday.
A big, aggressive brain tumor was diagnosed on October 24th.
A brain cancer patient and his mother are saving lives.
A child with leukemia wanted to be a garbage man. His wish was fulfilled.
Her mother said she had many ear infections as a child. She lost her balance after her ear infections healed. Something wasn't right and her mother was aware of it.
She went to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for an appointment after she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Three women with a Kleenex box greeted her.
She was told it was terminal. She was told that she only had a few weeks to live. It would be a miracle if she lived three more months. It hurts.
She wants to give her daughter everything she can for the rest of her life. Sharon Tomlinson, the family's real estate agent and close friend, organized a birthday card drive in order to encourage people to send cards with her favorite movies.
The packages were thrown on the side of the road. Parcels were delivered by them.
100 cards have been collected so far, and she is hoping for more by the birthday of her daughter. She wants people to send photos of different places to her. If they are at Disney World, they can be at the beach.
Her mother said that her daughter loved the photos.
The $100,000 goal was raised in less than a month, but the account has more than $50,000 left.
Krings said that he knows about 10% of the funders. We don't know many of the donors. It has been mind- blowing.
Krings said that when she was younger, she helped others in need.
She was the first person to go up to the child if they were crying and share a toy. Her mother said that it was something that was innate to her. She is able to connect with everyone and capture their hearts.
She is kind of witty and a little bit feisty.
She has had five surgeries since she was diagnosed, but her mother said that she was always a happy baby.
Her mother said that she likes telling bad knock-knock jokes.
When she was a child, her mother always said that she had the biggest, cheekiest grin, and now that she has a brain tumor, her smile is the sweetest one.
She has a brain tumor that makes her left side useless. Her mother said that she had to cancel her Make-A-wish trip to Disney World because of her health issues.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has a world record for the most wishes granted.
It is most likely that she is in the hospital because of her implant. Krings hopes that she is well enough to attend her birthday party.
She said she's crossing her fingers.
Krings told her daughter and son that she was an angel when she told them about her daughter's illness.
"Delaney is our sweet angel baby, and sometimes angels aren't meant to stay with us for the always we want it to be, that they are needed to do their angel work elsewhere," she wrote on her website.
Although it is the best way to explain the situation, these words don't make it any simpler.
She said that the goal is to keep her happy and that she is our princess.
The Krings family is not sure how long it will take for her symptoms to go away, but they are trying to give her everything they can.
The ADA-friendly activities that her parents are looking into are for people with disabilities. Her parents want her to see a play, go on a sleigh ride, watch a movie, sing a song, and play with play dough.
People are helping with this. A stranger from the Pewaukee Parents Facebook Group gave her a gift card for the family to enjoy after she posted the need to find a fun place for kids that is ADA compliant.
"She said that she was praying for you and that she loved you," said Krings.
It was a random act of kindness. A family gave a decade of giving after that.

Krings hopes that she is well enough to enjoy the holiday and that she is aware of it. She said her family wears matching pajamas for the holiday, everyone picks a gift to open on Christmas Eve, and everyone gathers on their big, fat couch to watch Christmas movies.
She said they don't know if she will have a seizure or a brain bleed.
The goal is to show her nothing but laughter and jokes, according to Krings.
Birthday cards or pictures of places can be sent to Delaney Krings by mail.
