According to the sheriff's office, he was accused of grinding down identification numbers on a motorcycle.

According to a press release from the sheriff's office, Robert Patrick Wilson was charged with two felony counts of possession of a vehicle with altered identification numbers.

According to a charging affidavit and press release, Wilson was riding between 70 mph and 120 mph as he fled from traffic stops. When his motorcycle ran out of gas, he was arrested.

Wilson's bond was originally $18,000 but was increased to $28,000 due to additional charges.

The engine and transmission's vehicle identification numbers were grinded off when the motorcycle was being processed for forfeiture.
