A fan defended Draymond Green after he was fined $25,000 for cursing at a fan.

During the Warriors' 116-113 loss to the Dallas Mavericks the night before, Green directed obscene language toward a fan.

After the fine was announced, a Dallas resident named himself as the fan who had the exchange with Green and defended the Warriors star. The $25k will be matched by me to your favorite charity. You're on the phone.

He didn't agree with the fine because he didn't like Green's language.

"We can make light of the situation, do some good, and donate because of that," he said. Fan decorum is a sensitive topic, but it isn't always as controversial as it is made out to be.

When Green was told about the pledge, he thought it was cool.

The Warriors were playing the Mavericks at the time. He said he began making fun of Green's shoes after the teams lined up for a free throw.

There was a lot of name-calling. Green told the fan to stop and watch the game.

On Friday, Green said he was going to reach out to the man.

He thinks that the money should go somewhere. Someone's child should benefit from it.

The issue of fan decorum has been a big topic in the league over the last few seasons. The arenas around the league have implemented bans on fans who engage in inappropriate behavior.

Green said that he has been around a long time. I don't have a lot of faith in anything that would change fan decorum.
