According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Milwaukee Brewers have made three players unavailable in trade discussions.

It was reported by Jeff Passan that the Brewers have traded second baseman Kolten Wong to the SeattleMariners for Jesse Winker and infielder Abraham Toro.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Brewers had been getting calls on the availability of Burnes, Woodruff and Adames. Milwaukee would be more likely to move one or more of those players at the trade deadline, he said.

Team control of Burnes, Woodruff and Adames is in place through the 2024 campaign.

The Brewers might not be entering a rebuild, but they might be entering a reset, meaning that certain players will be available for trade.

One of Milwaukee's best starting pitchers has been Burnes.

He has become one of the team's top pitchers since he began his major-league career. In 22 starts, he went 13-4 with a 3.05 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 190 strikeouts.

Adames is still a very good player. The Brewers can't afford to make a run at one of the league's top free-agent infielders.

It's not clear if the Brewers want to trade other players. Wong was one of the team's top players.
