According to emails from Andy Jassy, the CEO of Amazon, the company's media and entertainment business leader is retiring for a second time.
There will be some changes in Amazon. The head of Prime Video, Amazon Studios, and MGM will be reporting to Jassy. Steve Boom is currently in charge of the company's music and podcasts groups. He will be reporting directly to Jassy.
After a year-long sabbatical, he retired from his job as the SVP of business and corporate development, but returned to it in May. The first season of The Rings of Power TV series is one of the major entertainment launches that Amazon has had since his return.
The man who joined Amazon in 1997 is retiring once more in January. Jassy wrote that he will remain at the company in some capacity through early next year.
