I can tell you that the Lakers had internal discussions about trading for DeRozan and Vuevi, if it ever came up.

Both the Bulls and Lakers need to change.
One year after finishing sixth in the Eastern Conference, the Chicago Bears are 12th with a 9-12 record.
The man has been great. He has averaged 26.3 points on 52.0 percent shooting, 4.5 assists and 4.3 rebound for the Bulls. There are double-doubles for Vuevi with 15.6 points and 11.2 rebound per game.
The Lakers have won six of their last eight games but are still 13th in the conference. After picking up his $47.1 million option, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook has been demoted to the bench and averages just over 15 points per game.
The team's best assets are his expiring contract and the two first round picks. While the Bulls could start anew with a younger core, the Lakers could continue their push to compete around James and Davis.
The Lakers and Bulls are struggling through the early part of the season, hoping for a brighter day.
