This is not the end of the world.
One of the most popular travel credit cards is the Capital One Venture X rewards credit card.
There are a lot of reasons to get this card, from the excellent welcome bonus, to ongoing perks like a $300 annual travel credit, 10K anniversary bonus miles, and much more.
The Capital One Venture X has a lounge access benefit that applies to both the primary cardmember and authorized user.
Priority Pass will no longer offer credits or experience at non-lounge airport experiences, including Priority Pass restaurants, spas, and more, as of January 1, 2023.
The Capital One Venture X is aligned with the policy of The Platinum Card from American Express rather than that of the Chase Reserve Card.
This is a negative change and I am sad to see it. The Chase Sapphire Reserve is now the popular premium card that still offers Priority Pass restaurant credits.
The value proposition of the Capital One Venture X is not affected by this.
This is the best premium card for families, as you can add up to four authorized users, and they all get lounge access as well. Plaza Premium Lounges and Capital One Lounges are not included in the Capital One Venture X.
The Priority Pass benefit of the Capital One Venture X is changing. Priority Pass memberships will no longer include airport experiences such as restaurants and spa treatments.
