A man has been arrested on a murder charge in the shooting death of a rapper outside of a bowling alley.
Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said that Clark was taken into custody peacefully. One day after another man was charged in connection with the shooting that wounded two other people, Clark was arrested.
Clark was waiting for a bond hearing. There isn't an attorney who could speak for him.
Takeoff was the youngest member of the award-winning rap trio from suburban Atlanta that also featured his uncle and cousin.
The musician was one of three people who were shot outside the bowling alley in the middle of the night. A man and a woman were injured in a shooting in which at least two people opened fire.
Takeoff was not involved in the shooting and was an innocent bystander, according to the police sergeant.
Authorities made an arrest in relation to the shooting. The 22-year-old is not believed to have fired the gun that he was charged with having. Christopher Downey told reporters that he has not seen any evidence that his client was involved in Takeoff's death.
Clark's gunfire is believed to be the cause of the rapper's death.
A memorial service for Takeoff was held in Atlanta last month.
Quality Control mourned Takeoff's death in a statement that said it was a result of "senseless violence"
The band broke through with a huge hit called "Versace" They had four Top 10 hits on the Hot 100, but Takeoff wasn't on one of them. The first two albums in the trilogy, "Culture" and "Culture II", hit the top of the charts.
Takeoff and Quavo collaborated on a joint album.
