Key Background

Children wearing harnesses and other BDSM-style outfits were featured in a campaign by Balenciaga last week. The followers pointed out how inappropriate the images were. As anger grew, internet sleuths noticed that in a separate campaign for a purse, a paper on a desk appeared to have text on it. The photos were taken and the statements were issued Tuesday. The brand said it shouldn't have been used with children. The company took legal action against the production company that put the shoot together after apologizing for showing "unsettling documents." KimKardashian, one of the brand's most visible faces, said Monday she was "shaken by the disturbing images" and that she's rethinking her relationship with the company.

Tangent

Demna had a close relationship with the ex- husband of Kim. One of the first brands to cut ties with West, who had just walked in one of its fashion shows, was Balenciaga. He wrote that he stood by Gvasalia and Balenciaga, even though he was re-banned for sharing a picture of a swastika. According to Page Six, West said, "I stand by Balenciaga and denounce all witch hunts and I cancel culture Jesus is KingEndingtrafficking doesn't start or end with a fashion campaign for Christ Sake." We should never turn our backs on Demna and her family. West said that Gvasalia asked him to get his fans to stop Denma hate.

KimKardashian is re-examining her relationship with the brand.

After the Swastika post, Musk Suspends West.
