Pyne started 10 games for Notre Dame and led them to an 8-2 record. He completed 64.6% of his passes for the season, throwing 22 touchdown, six interception and rushing for two more scores.

The most wins against Top 25 teams at Notre Dame in the last decade was by him.

The market for Pyne's services should be strong because of his production at the school. In Notre Dame's 38-27 loss to USC, Pyne's efficiency and skill set was highlighted, as he completed 23 of 26 passes for 318 yards. He stood out to opposing coaches because of his decisiveness in the pocket.

After the upset loss to Marshall, Pyne took over as Notre Dame's starter against Cal. He led the program on a run of eight wins in nine games after they started the season with a 2-0 deficit.

Pyne is a quarterback from New Canaan who was recruited by the sports network. He picked Notre Dame over a long list of other offers.

Pyne was the leader in passing yards and touchdown at New Canaan High School.
