Musk continues to reach out to his followers on the micro-blogging site.

The billionaire/chief twit turned his attention to people who consume the content but don't contribute. He encouraged these people to get involved.

He wrote that he met a lot of people who read a lot but never sent a message on the social networking site. Please add your voice to the dialogue.

I meet so many people who read twitter every day, but almost never tweet.

If I may beg your indulgence, please add your voice to the public dialogue!

There is reason for Musk to be worried. Around 25% of users in the U.S. produce at least 25% of the total.

His plea to be more active on the platform received nearly 85,000 responses, but he focused in on one in particular from a follower named Rocket_Medic, who wrote:

No one reads my messages.

If you click on the graph icon at the bottom right of all users'tweets, you can see if Musk is aware of the service. The feature allows you to know how many times a person has seen, re-posted, liked, and replied to a single post.

Musk told Medic that he doesn't care about the low reply rate since it's not important. Musk said that those who read and reply to tweets outnumber those who reply and like them.

There was an upcoming feature that had not been discussed publicly.

Like they do for video views, the reach metrics will be displayed up-front.

Twitter will start showing view count for all tweets, just as view count is shown for all videos. The system is far more alive than it would seem.

Musk ghosted?

Over 15,000 people liked Musk's announcement. One person was not sure.

Jamie Hutchens4 was the one to reply.

There are zero reactions to my tweets. I believe that is the case with most people. There is no feeling of being unimportant. It's likely that avoiding that feeling is why a lot of people don't use social networking sites. Most probably don't know that it's the reason they aren't using social media.

My Tweets get zero reactions. I think that's the case with most people. No reactions give a feeling of being unimportant. Avoiding that feeling is likely why lots do not tweet. Most probably don't even realize that is why they aren't Tweeting.

How many views do your posts get?

At press time, the person still hadn't responded to Musk's question.

His account has been liked over 10,000 times.
