I wanted to check out a series that caught my attention recently. Warrior Nun, the first season of which just came back for a second season, has managed to have the highest audience scores for any season of any series I have ever watched, sitting at a 99% with thousands of reviews. I have been watching both seasons over the last few days.

The title of the show, "Warrior Nun," caused me and many others to skip it completely. It sounds like it's some sort of schlocky project. It is not of those things. The title of the show is pulled from the source material, which may make it difficult to give it a chance.

You should give it a try.

Warrior Nun is a great series, and I understand why fans are so passionate about its survival, hoping it doesn't end after a couple of seasons. The series has great action, a meaningful romance and a biting commentary on religion.

Critics and fans agree that the second season is better than the first one. The first season of Warrior Nun tells the story of a girl who is brought back to life and healed after an ancient artifact is inserted into her back.

The Warrior Nun is tasked with leading a group of other combat trained nuns to fight back against the forces of evil as a secret division of the Vatican. In practice it is a lot of fun.

There are some odd moments in the first season, like a storyline with Ava and some local criminal kids that ultimate goes nowhere, and it is a lot of her wrestling with wanting to be involved with the nuns.

The second season of the show starts to blend science fiction and religion in a way that I was not expecting. The second season posed the question, "What if Jesus came back and was something else?" Warrior Nun takes on the roots and history of Christianity and Catholicism in a way that is rarely seen in fiction.

It's a really good show. I wasn't expecting to be as impressed with the action sequence as I was with the supernatural fighting and martial arts, but I will remember it for a long time. It's as good as any other TV or film right now.

I don't know if Warrior Nun is 99% perfect, as its audience scores suggest, but it's absolutely worthwhile, and I overcame my initial hesitation to give it a shot. Everyone who has watched it is rooting for a third season.
