Beckham tore the same knee twice. Beckham hasn't taken a practice rep this season. Not in the summer or autumn. When he does come back, his range of outcomes is vastly different. With the Bills hurting at wide receiver, there is a chance to have a big role in the offense.
Adding someone like Beckham would give him plenty of opportunities to be an important part of the offensive group because the wide receiver depth behind him hasn't played up to the level that the Bills would like.
You can join a team with your friends. Von Miller, a pass-rusher, has been publicly recruiting Beckham to join the Bills for months and is doing so behind the scenes. He would not only add to the Bills' receiving game as a target for Allen, but he would also take some of the attention away from Diggs, who is on pace to set career highs in receiving yards and touchdown The Bills have the third-most drops in the league with six and four players combining for 10 of them. 10% of Davis' targets have been dropped. Consistency and reliability at the position will go a long way in helping Allen, and while Beckham's production hasn't been quite to the level it was earlier in his career, he did not drop any of his 48 regular-season targets with the Rams.
The Bills don't need Beckham to be a top receiver because they have other options. Adding someone with his talent and experience would be a boost to the offense.
It is in the realm of possibilities. The Bills want to become a contender for the Super Bowl on a consistent basis because they have most of their key players locked down. The team is built for that. After hearing about Miller's experience, it should be an appealing place for Beckham to settle in and play for a long time.
Will the Bills trust Beckham's ability to stay healthy over the long term or how much Beckham is looking to be paid? Beckham has only played in a few regular-season games.
One of the key contributors to the defense this year has been safety Jordan Poyer, who is set to be a free agent. The lowest available cap space in the league is currently held by the Bills. Beane wants to build a team that is consistently making Super Bowl runs instead of just putting all the chips in one basket.
