The Suns defeated the Bulls by a score of 51 points. There is a time and a place for it.
The Phoenix Suns stretched their winning streak to six games with a 132-113 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night, thanks in part to a career-high 51 points from Devin Booker.
In the first half, Booker scored 25 points and in the third he had 26. The 3-pointer went through the net. chants broke out across Footprint Arena, and the 26 year old is making an early season case.
Booker said it was the best crowd he had ever seen. It's impressive that there are sellout crowds in a row. It does not matter what day of the week it is. They show up and go away.
The two-time All-Star scored his 50th and 51st points in the third quarter. He had six Assists and four Rebounds.
"He gets in a rhythm and it's too late," LaVine said. It's over when he gets it going.
Booker did not play in the fourth quarter as the Suns held a large lead.
His efficiency was even more remarkable than Booker's. He shot 20 of 25 from the field. He is the second player in the last 25 years to score 50 points and shoot 80% in the first three quarters, joining James Harden.
It felt like a double-sized rim out there. It will go in if I rise up.
Booker has four career 25-point quarters, tying Kobe Bryant for second most over the past 25 seasons. Curry has more than Booker.
Monty Williams said there is not a level where he cannot score. He can use both hands, he can score with a hand in his face, and he is willing to take the tough shots.
Booker has scored at least 40 points in two straight games. He had 44 in the win at Sacramento. In 13 home games, the Suns have won 12 of them.
Against Booker and Ayton the Bulls struggled on defense. The Chicago coach angrily called a timeout after the Phoenix scored a couple of easy buckets.
The man with the most points was DeMar DeRozan. LaVine increased his count to 21.
The Suns led 64-43 at the half. Booker found open jump shots and scored 25 points before the half.
"We did everything we could to hit him." We threw a box and one at him. He had a great night despite us trying to face guard him.
