Elon Musk meets Tim Cook, says Apple never considered removing Twitter app

On Wednesday, Musk went to Apple's headquarters and met with Cook.

Musk deleted a meme that suggested he would rather go to war than pay Apple's platform fees after accusing Apple of threatening to pull the Twitter app from the App store.

I had a good discussion. Musk said that there was a misunderstanding about the possible removal of the app from the store. Tim was clear that Apple didn't want to do that.

Republican lawmakers echoed Musk's complaints that Apple's moderation policies were against the spirit of free speech. He contemplated over the weekend that he might make his own phone.

Apple takes between 15% and 30% of digital sales through its apps. If Musk succeeds in his plan to vastly increase subscription revenue, Apple will make money from it as well.

Did you know that Apple imposes a 30% tax on everything you buy through their App Store? On Monday, Musk posted on his verified account. On Monday, he tagged Cook's account and asked what was going on with the possible suspension of the app.
