According to the Times, one of his companies received tax benefits from the territory.

The settlement will allow the Virgin Islands to get half of the proceeds from the planned sale of Little Saint James, the small island that became known as "Pedophile Island", which could go for $55 million.

It will take one year for the estate to fulfill the settlement because of the locked up assets.

The estate did not admit to wrongdoing as part of the settlement.
