Several people have been injured and at least two people have been killed after an outbreak of severe storms spawned tornadoes that tore a path of destruction across the South.

Emergency officials in Montgomery County said at least two people were killed when a tornado with winds of over 100 mph ripped through the area.

Thirty tornadoes have been reported from Louisiana to Mississippi to Alabama since Tuesday afternoon. The exact number of tornadoes that touched down will be determined by the National Weather Service.

Nearly 80 tornado warnings were issued across the South between the morning of Nov. 29, 2022, and the morning of Nov. 30, 2022.

As the same line of storms sweeps east, the threat of damaging storms will continue in the South.
