Ben Simmons will be out of action for at least the next three games due to a left calf strain.

Injuries are always going to be a storyline when it comes to Simmons' career, and he has missed time this season with knee soreness. He missed the entire season because of a back issue that required surgery, and he sat out his rookies season due to a foot injury.

Even if he isn't known for his shooting and offensive prowess, he can still have an impact on the game.

In 17 games this season, the three-time All-Star and two-time All-Defensive selection is averaging 8.4 points, 6.6 rebound, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals as a second option on a team that also features Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

They will see more time for Brooklyn until Simmons comes back.
