Two counts of distribution of child exploitation material and three counts of possession of child pornography were among the charges against Kitna.
Kitna, the son of Jon Kitna, was taken into custody by the Alachua County jail at 3:20 p.m. There is an hour and a half later. The charges against him will be heard in court on Thursday.
He has been suspended from the team.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off the police that a user had distributed an image of child sexual abuse material.
According to police, Kitna was the probable owner of the account.
Kitna thought the images he shared were legal because he found them online, according to the police department. Three more images of child sexual abuse material were found when police searched Kitna's devices.
Kitna played in four games this season and completed 10 of 14 passes for 181 yards and a touchdown.
