During Tuesday's game between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning, JackEdwards made fun of Pat Maroon. He is turning the negative attention into a positive one.

It was midway through the first period on Tuesday when the Bruins' long time play-by-play man made some targeted comments about Maroon's size, while also referencing his run of titles with the Blues and Bolts.

Andy Brickley chimed in and kept him going on Maroon for over thirty seconds.

The 65-year-old said thatoon is listed at 238 lbs. It was the first day of training. I think he has had a few more pizzas since then. The person is fasting. Fasting for Pat Maroon takes four hours. He has won the Stanley Cup three times in a row. He has a formula, who can argue with it?

Maroon got charitable because of the seemingly unprovoked comment. He made a $2,000 donation in his name to a charity that helps people with mental health and substance abuse issues.

In support of those struggling with mental health, bullying and body image I am making a 2,000 donation in the name of @realjackedwards to @TampaBayThrives and I encourage @TBLightning and @NHL fans to join me. Donate here: https://t.co/ZEbWHw6Cqv

Maroon encouraged his followers to give as well. Steven Stamkos immediately came through to support the player affectionately known as "Big Rig" and the Tampa Bay Lightning foundation applauded Maroon's commitment to highlighting the importance of mental well-being.

Stamkos replied to Maroon with a well done message. Donate now!
