Brian "Liver King" Johnson, a caveman-esque bodybuilder who credits his extremely muscular physique to eating raw animal liver, has been accused of making heavy use of steroids to achieve his extremely muscular body.

It's a debate that has been going on for a long time.

Johnson had 1.7 million followers on the social media site and showed off his "primal fare" diet consisting of lungs and testicles. He sells his own supplements in his business.

In an hour-long expose titled " The Liver King Lie", the creator of the channel " More Plates More Dates" accused Johnson of using a human growth hormone regimen that cost him $11k a month.

Human growth hormones are produced by the body.

They can be found in a number of prescription drugs.

The FDA does not approve most of the uses for human growth hormone. Joint pain is one of the effects of side effects.

The host of " More Plates More Dates" alleges in his video that Johnson sent him emails years ago which contained information about his alleged steroid use. Rolling Stone couldn't verify the authenticity of the emails or how they were obtained.

There are a lot of questions surrounding his accusations, given that he has made a name for himself by speculating whether bodybuilders are "natty" or not.

Johnson does not take any enhancements.

He told Rolling Stone that he was grateful for the recent events that shed light on the topic.

Johnson wrote in the caption that he believed the key to unlocking a robust and long life was in our evolutionary past. Our bodies expect our genes to heal and be healthy after 2.5 million years of evolution.

The internet is not buying Johnson's vague rebuttal.

One person joked about the allegations in a thread.

UFC fighter Terrance "T wrecks" McKinney wrote that no athlete is shocked that the king is on steroids.

Others were able to make fun of the revelations.

One person joked that he was about to get on the raw testicles diet as well. It was shame.
