President Zelenskyy said that Musk played an important role in helping Ukraine resist Russia's invasion. Musk provided Starlink satellite internet receivers that ensured troops could communicate in the face of the Kremlin's electronic and conventional warfare.

Zelenskyy told the people at the New York Times conference that at some point, they began to hear all kinds of appeals.

Musk posted a plan for "Ukraine- Russia Peace" in October. Under the proposal, areas of Ukraine illegally annexed by Russia would take part in internationally monitored elections on their future status, as well as being formally part of Russia.

The proposal was panned by critics as favoring Russian interests at a time when it was losing the war. Ian Bremmer said that it came after Musk claimed that he had spoken to Putin only once in the last 18 months.

Musk has angered Ukrainian officials by suggesting he would no longer pay for their Starlink service, which has suffered catastrophic outages in some parts of the country, in an apparent effort to limit offensive operations that some argue could escalate the conflict.

According to the Washington Post, the US government paid for at least 1,330 Starlink terminals to be delivered toUkraine. The cost of Starlink's internet service is going up.

Zelenskyy didn't know why the billionaire had shifted from steadfast to erratic support.

Zelenskky did not know if someone was making an influence on him or if he was making his own decisions. The Ukrainian president said he would invite Musk and others to see the war in person before making a decision on how to end it.

If you want to understand what Russia has done here, you can come to Ukraine and see it for yourself. You will tell us how to end this war and when we can end it.
