It is good to get confirmation of what we were expecting.
SWISS plans to launch a first and business class product in the year 2025. The products that the airline chooses should be familiar. The airline will be using new premium products from the group.
The new first class suite will be coming to SWISS. The seats have the same bones. We have reason to believe that this will be an epic product and that it will be as good as the new first class.
The new business class will be on SWISS. Business class seats in the first row will take advantage of the space that would otherwise be wasted. SWISS branding will be reflected in the finishes on this project.
SWISS is not in need of new premium products as much. SWISS has nice first class suites and business class seating.
The airline plans to give more information in 2023. It makes sense for the group to align their products with each other.
SWISS has a long haul fleet of planes.
The current plan is to retire A340s as of the year 2025. SWISS will only introduce its new cabins in 2025 because the airline will be taking delivery of new long haul jets.
We don't know if existing jets will get the new cabins that SWISS plans to introduce.
SWISS will take delivery of long haul jets, but which one will it be? There are Boeing 787-9s and the A350-900s in the group. The other types of jets could be headed to a combination of Austrian and SWISS.
It is most likely that SWISS only gets the A350s and not the 787s. SWISS will maintain first class throughout its long haul fleet, while Lufthansa only plans to put first class on A350s. It would make sense if Austrian and Lufthansa took all the A350s.
It makes sense to me that I could be wrong.
SWISS will introduce a new class of product in the 20th century. The product should be similar to the new cabins that the airline has unveiled.
When the airline retires its A340s, new long haul aircraft will be delivered. We don't know which planes SWISS will get, but I think they'll get the A350s.
SWISS has new premium cabin plans.
