Herschel Walker, the Republican candidate for US Senate in Georgia, said in his speech that he lived in Texas.

There was a record early voting in the Georgia Senate race.

The Democratic incumbent, Raphael Warnock, will face off against the Republican challenger, Walker, in a second round of voting next Tuesday. Early voting for the two candidates is at an all time high.

The control of the Senate has already been decided, but a win in Georgia would give Democrats control.

Endorsed by Donald Trump, Walker has been accused of encouraging abortions, family relationships and more.

He went on to play for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. CNN reported that he was getting a tax break on his Dallas home.

CNN reported on Tuesday that in January, while discussing immigration policy in a speech to Republicans at the University of Georgia, Walker said he lived in Texas.

Walker was asked why he decided to run for a Senate seat. This is something I would never do in my life. That is the true truth.

I was watching what was happening in this country while I was in Texas. I was watching how people were being divided in this country.

CNN reported that Walker gave at least four interviews.

The Republicans are in a close race for control of the Senate and have been burned by a similar issue. In Pennsylvania, the Democratic candidate, John Fetterman, asked about Mehmet Oz's residency in New Jersey. Fetterman was able to win easily.

The US constitution requires senators to be at least 30 years old and a citizen for nine years before they can be elected.

A law professor at Georgia State University told CNN that Walker could be painted as a carpetbagger because of the Texas tax break.

Herschel Walker said in a speech that he wanted to be awerewolf, not a vampire.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported this week that a legal complaint had been filed, urging state investigators to look into whether Walker broke the law when he received a tax break on his Texas home while running for federal office in Georgia.

Walker registered to vote in Georgia in the summer of 2021.

Nikema Williams told the AJC Walker may have lied about being a Georgia resident.

Georgians deserve answers and Walker must be held accountable for his lies.

The Walker campaign didn't say anything.
