World Cup 2022: 'England's only problems right now are good ones'

The World Cup is only a few days old, but England are where we want them to be, comfortably into the last 16.

Everyone is excited when we play like we did in the second half. There are bigger tests to come, but let's enjoy a good performance and get ready for Sunday.

One example of what I want England's identity to be is that we had a high press, lots of energy and we were on the front foot.

We are a better team when we play that way.

In each of our three games in Group B, the defence did whatever was asked of them and we looked lively in the forwards.

We look like we are in a good place and the team is full of belief.

I'm happy with what I've seen, and I'm looking forward to what's to come.

Foden and Rashford should start versus Senegal

It's great that he has so many options in the frontline, and it's even better that he doesn't have to choose.

When they get an opportunity in the England team, they have to make the most of it.

He wanted to see what Phil Foden and MarcusRashford could do when he brought them in.

They demonstrated that to him.

There are still arguments for Jack Grealish and Jack Foden to play, but I think they did enough.

Foden got on the board as well, and I am happy for him. He justified his performance with his performance because a lot of people were yelling for him to play.

Southgate got some big calls right too

I am happy that he made the right decisions.

We have to give him credit for being spot on against Wales because he gets a lot of stick for not making the right choices.

He brought Foden and Rashford in on the flanks and at half-time he decided to change their positions and they got our goals.

It was more than one thing that worked. His tactics were also responsible for it.

In the first half, we were measured and mature, but in the second half, we were more aggressive. It was just a question of how many we could get after we went up.

Goals are not a problem

The balance of the whole team was correct in this win.

Jude gave us a lot of energy in the middle of the field. He was always trying to get up there to get on the end of things.

The whole team did it high up the pitch after we got our second goal by pressing Wales.

Harry Kane's cross for Phil Foden to score was so good that he would have wanted it to go away himself.

It was lovely to see him work it on to his left foot and put it away after he scored his third goal. It's too late for the Wales defender to adjust to his run.

We are the top scorer in the tournament with nine, and scoring them is not a problem. Other teams will be wondering how they can prevent us from playing.

This isn't the time to get carried away, but what we do have after that is so important.

I don't think England would have been affected by their disappointing draw with the United States, but this performance had everything missing from that game and we can take all of it forward.

Even though Sadio Mane is out, I am confident that England will be able to beat them and make it to the quarter-finals.
