Egypt and Greece are considering a joint bid to host the World Cup in 2030.

We are considering a bid with Greece and Egypt and we hope it will be a winning one. The three countries would invest a lot of money in infrastructure. By that time, Saudi Arabia would have state of the art stadiums and fanzones.

Saudi Arabia has a plan to go green while still being the world's top oil exporting country.

A Saudi bid to host the World Cup would add to the list of sporting events the world's largest oil exporter is hosting as it looks to open up its economy to tourists. The Asian Winter Games will be held in 2029, as well as an annual Formula 1 race.

The defacto ruler of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, attended the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar last week, just days after he canceled a trip to Japan. According to an unnamed source, the kingdom is considering making a joint bid with Egypt and Greece.
